Betty’s Peanut Butter Milkshake

Betty is a prolific recipe writer and frequent YouTuber.  In this video, she shows how to make a delicious, rich Peanut Butter Milkshake.

This isn’t an easy or quick process, and requires making a sauce on the stove to use in your milkshake.  This sauce makes a great ice cream syrup, too!

Peanut Butter Milkshake Sauce

Combine 1/4 cup of granulated sugar with the same amount of water in a small saucepan.  Heat at medium-high until the sugar dissolves and little bubbles form around the edge.  Allow to cool to room temperature, and then refrigerate.

Now, add 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter and 1/3 cup of confectioner’s sugar and stir until well blended.  This makes a sweetened peanut butter sauce.

Finishing the Peanut Butter Milkshake

Scoop 2 cups of vanilla ice cream into a blender.  Add 1/8 cup of milk and about 1/2 cup of the peanut butter sauce.  Blend on high until smooth, stopping to scrape the side of the blender occasionally.  Serve and enjoy your yummy Peanut Butter Milkshake!

Betty, consider getting yourself a Magic Bullet. It’s easier and takes lest time. Costs something like $50 at any Wal-Mart.

  6. It was delish! I used whole milk. It turned out really rich and I liked it! Yummm! Thanks! 😉

    Betty,
I love watching all your videos and enjoy making them too. Just a question, could you use something else to replace the icing sugar? Thanks.

  16. bettyskitchen says:

@LilArtist98 You may use regular sugar or leave it out entirely for a milkshake that will not be quite as sweet.

hey betty is there anything else i can use other than ice cream …..stupid question i know …..i have seen only 2 of your videos and i love them but another question where are you from ??

  18. bettyskitchen says:

@ozzy30515 You can use very cold milk and a few ice chips. This will give a thinner drink, but it will taste good! I am from Monticello, KY originally, but Rick and I have lived in Richmond, KY since 1975.

  20. mccheeseburger01 says:

Hmmmm surely you could use organic peanut butter that has no added salt and then alot less sugar. Regardless this is a very nice milkshake.

  21. bettyskitchen says:

@mccheeseburger01 Thanks for your comment! I’m sure organic peanut butter with no salt and less sugar would be great in this milkshake! Thanks for the tip!
