This Strawberry Banana Smoothie is made with only three ingredients. The smoothie is sweetened naturally and colorfully with the taste of strawberry. Bananas thicken the smoothie and add a rich flavor. Apple juice adds a bit of tartness to the smoothie.

A simple, three ingredient Strawberry Banana Smoothie with an Apple Juice kicker.
Ingredients
  • 1 banana, peeled, broken in chunks and frozen
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries, sliced
Instructions
  1. Add the apple juice to a blender and cover
  2. Set blender to medium speed
  3. Add bananas and strawberries through the opening in the cover
  4. Increase speed to high and blend until smooth

Blending apple juice into smoothies is highly recommended for creating a thinner consistency. After blending, it is best to immediately consume the smoothie as letting it sit for awhile will change the texture. In case the smoothie comes out too thin because of the apple juice, just add some ice cubes.
