Here’s a novel approach to recording a Low Calorie Smoothie Recipe that I really love. OK, it is a bit long, but the narration and background music make it a pleasure to watch.
This is a very basic smoothie recipe that uses bananas as the only fruit. The addition of soy milk to the recipe makes this a great low calorie smoothie recipe for those who suffer from lactose intolerance. Just skip the optional yogurt if this is the case.
I think you’ll have to agree that the smoothie could be made in a few minutes, rather than the nearly 9 minutes that Cam takes in the recording. To end up with two great tasting portions of smoothies, with only about 233 calories each, in that amount of time is a great find.
Enjoy!
Blend the bananas, soy milk and yogurt until smooth. Add the ice and blend until ice is finely chopped and well blended. Add honey and vanilla extract and blend till mixed fully.
Pour this into two glasses and enjoy the fruits of your labors from making this low calorie smoothie recipe.

1 c. fresh or frozen fruit
½ c. fruit juice
A blender
2 tbsp. milk, light cream, or yogurt
And a tall glass
Optional: Honey, Ice, Protein powder, wheat germ, bee pollen, or flaxseed
Step 1: Choose fruit and juice Choose your fruit and fruit juice. Tip: A variety of flavors mixed together can make for the most satisfying smoothie—a few dashes of cranberry juice or a squeeze of lime may be just what that OJ and banana combo needs.
Step 2: Peel, pit, or de-seed your fruit if necessary.
Step 3: Put the fruit in the blender, and add the juice. Tip: For a sweet smoothie, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of honey. For a cold one, add 6 to 8 ice cubes. And for an extra health kick, throw in protein powder, wheat germ, bee pollen, or flaxseed.
Step 4: Add the milk, light cream, or yogurt to give the smoothie a rich and silky texture.
Step 5: Blend Put the lid on the blender, and blend.
That’s how you make a fruit smoothie!

Fruit Smoothie Recipe Ingredients
Place 1/2 cup halved strawberries, 1/2 cup pineapple chunks, 1 sliced banana, 1/3 cup Splenda or sugar, and 1/2 cup milk in a blender. Set to “blend” or “puree” and turn the blender on for 20 or 30 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth. Pour your Fruit Smoothie from the blender into an appropriately-sized glass. Spoon or drink your smoothie immediately! Yummy and healthy!!!
Note: You may change the fruits to different fruits–and you may use just 1 or 2 fruits, or even more than 3, if you prefer. You may add more or less milk, depending on how thick you like your smoothie. This fruit smoothie recipe is just a good place to start!
