Strawberry Banana Smoothie Ingredients
Milk is a great source of casein and whey proteins. It also adds vitamin D, calcium and riboflavin to your smoothie.
You can use whole milk, or substitute 2% or 1% milk to reduce the fat in your smoothie.
Other options for milk include goat’s milk, soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk and rice milk.
Strawberries are sweet as well as healthy. Whether frozen or fresh, they make your smoothie tasty and colorful. Remove the green tops if you are using fresh strawberries in your smoothie.
Strawberries provide vitamin C, flavonoids, iron and potassium to your diet.
Strawberries also contain cancer-fighting properties, so smoothie up!
Bananas are a primary component of many tasty smoothies. Bananas can be used fresh or frozen.
To freeze bananas, peel them and break them into chunks. Place them into freezer bags for later use. Frozen bananas help thicken smoothies better than fresh bananas.
Bananas add plenty of potassium to your diet, as well as iron, magnesium and vitamin B6.
