When I think of Tropical Fruits, I tend to think of sweet, fleshy fruits, such as Bananas, Mangoes, Pineapples, Papayas, Melons and even Avocados. But the list doesn’t end there. Many one-of-a-kind Tropical Fruits can be found in your local grocery. These include Star Fruit, Persimmons, Pomegranates, Kiwi, Coconuts, Horned Melon and many, many more.
Bananas are the most common ingredient in Fruit Smoothies, no matter what flavor. This is because bananas, especially frozen sliced bananas, make a great thickener for all sorts of Fruit Smoothies. To prepare a batch for the future, peel and slice some bananas, place them on waxed paper on a cookie sheet, and put them in the freezer. After a couple hours, you can place the frozen slices into plastic freezer bags for storage.
While you can’t always find these Tropical Fruits in every grocery store, it is worth a trip to a larger store on occasion to find a few of these unique treats. Some of the tastes will be something you’ve never imagined before in your life. Enjoy!
