What are the differences between a Blender and a Smoothie Maker?

Currently I have a regular blender, a dry spice grinder and a hand blender….

Do I really need a smoothie maker?

I plan to blend some serious smoothies….should I go for it?

  1. Just the name… to get you to buy another gadget that you don’t need, because you already have a blender:)

  2. The difference is that the smoothie maker is less sturdy and costs more because it says "Smoothie Maker" on the box.

  3. asmoothie maker everything a bit thickerr than a blender.
